The best memory I have of celebrating the day is when I was 12. I remember I worked all day with my cousin making paper buntings to hang on the terrace. We made glue at home, worked all day on the buntings, left them to dry over night and the next morning woke up early to hang them outside. Ah, I can still feel the excitement. It was so real and joyful.
You know what? Nothing beats celebrating National Day in your home country. That’s the only place where you get to experience the true joy and cheerful spirit. But it sucks for those of us who have to live abroad due to gazillion reasons. I don’t know when was the last time I got to celebrate National Day in Pakistan, probably more than 10 years and it’s just sad.
As a patriotic person, I love the idea of celebrating National Days- decorating the house, dressing up in national colors etc etc. And that’s why today I’m sharing 17 AH-MAZING 4th of July crafts for all the American sewing buddies.
Here you go!
