Step 3: Make the straps, strap loops and handles.
Fold the edges of one of the strap loop into a half from two sides and press.
Next, fold the edges from the center and press.
Sew along the edges of the strap loop as shown by the dotted lines.
Repeat this step with the straps, the other strap loop and handle.

Step 4: Attach the straps and strap loops.
Fold the back body into a half and place a crease in the center.
Fold the strap loops into a half, pass through the D-rings and attach them to the bottom of the bag using the glue. Each strap loop should be 2.5″ away from the center crease as shown in the picture below.
Next, place the strap cover 1″ away from the center top edge on the back body and sew along the white dotted lines.
Place the straps under the strap cover and sew as shown by the white dotted lines. Keep aside.
Step 5: Make the gusset
First, hand sew the zipper end closed.
This is how it should look like as shown below.
Place the zipper cover on top of zipper, right sides together, and sew as shown by the white line.
Repeat for the other end of the zipper.
Next, place the zipper gusset on top of the zipper, right sides together and sew as shown below.
Place the other zipper gusset along the other edge of the zipper and sew, right sides together.
You should have something like the one below.
Next, place the bottom/side gusset on top (right sides together) of the zipper gusset and sew as shown.
This is what it should look like once you’re done.
Step 6: Attach the gusset to the main body
Pin the gusset to the main body and hand baste in place, as shown below. Next, sew the gusset to the main body. Open up the zipper.
Sew the back main body to the gusset like you did with the front of the body. You should have a drum like shape in the end as you can see below.
Turn the main body right side out and keep aside.
Step 7: Sew the lining
Take the lining gusset pieces, fold it by 1/4th inch to the wrong side and press.
Place the zipper gusset on the bottom/side gusset. I have used a red thread to make it prominent.
The next step is same as the attachment of gusset to the main body. In the end you should have something like the one shown below.
